TECNO R7 SPECS PLUS HOW TO FLASH FREE STOCK ROM

tecno r7 in article 1
A new smartphone is being introduced to the market which should be more affordable than most other smartphones at a 2300 EGP price tag. If you are considering getting a smartphone and TCNO R7 seems like a good option for you, check this article to get more details about its specs and features.

Design:

This smartphone is more of a phablet than a phone as it is 158 mm tall, 78.5 mm wide and 8.4 mm thick, which will make it a little harder to manage it using one hand or to fit in a pocket.

Performance:tecno r7 in article 2

TECNO R7 works on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is not the latest Android operating system but will still give you a nice performance. The device has a 1.5 GHz Hexa-core processor and 2GB RAM, which will help you get a fast performance while using more than one application and if you’re a fan of gaming then you’ll enjoy this phone. It also comes with a dual SIM that works on standby mode which means that only one SIM card will be working and the other will be on hold till you choose to use it. TECNO R7 has a 16GB built in memory and you can buy an additional micro SD card that takes up to 32GB. The phone works on 3G networks and also offers Wi-Fi connection, GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio. It has a 2430 mAh battery which will survive a day for heavy usage but you’ll need to charge it overnight.

Display:

TECNO R7 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen, which is a nice size that will allow you to watch all your favorite movies. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla glass which means that you will not have to buy a protection for your screen. This screen has a 720x1280 resolutionwhich means that it offers you HD display, which isn’t the clearest display there is so you might notice that the colors are a bit washed out but the 267 pixels per inch density will make the details sufficiently clear.

Camera:tecno r7 in article 3

This new device comes with 13 MP back camera that offers up to 4128x3096 pixels resolution pictures, and the ability to shoot video at Full HD videos at 30 frames per second speed which is very decent. There are some nice features that will make you enjoy using this camera including Geo-tagging, auto focus, face detection and LED flash. It also offers a 5 MP front camera, which is a very nice resolution to have in your front camera and will take very good selfies.
Make sure to read out article on the best photo editing apps if photography is something important for you in your phone.

Bottom Line:

TCNO R7 offers a nice camera and a big screen that will make enjoy using it and it will make your life easier with a smooth performance. However, unlike most new smart phones; TECNO R7 is still working on Jelly Beans which is not the latest Google operating system. There is also the question of whether or not this is a trust-worthy brand and since this is the first time it makes an appearance in Egypt, I’d say ask around a bit before deciding to buy the R7.

TECNO P9 SPECS PLUS HOW TO FLASH FREE STOCK ROM

Tecno P9 review

tecno p9 in article 1
You probably thought that Tecno are limited to low end smartphones when in reality they actually have a few tablets up their sleeves. One of which is the P9 which you can find in Egypt for 1500 EGP. If you want a new tablet and you don’t want to pay much, keep reading.

Design

There is nothing special about the design of the P9 since it comes in a common plastic body and it’s just the same size as other 7-inchers in this price range. You’ll probably be able to hold it with one hand but you’ll definitely need both hands to really use it.

Performance

The tablet runs on Android JellyBean 4.2 which is not the latest Android version out there but it offers a very decent software experience nonetheless. Processing wise, the P9 has a 1.2 Quad core processor and 1GB of RAM which will run all of your apps and games smoothly but do expect some lagging when you’re using more than one app at once which goes back to the limited RAM. It also has an 8GB internal memory that you can expand to 32GB by buying an additional microSD card if you run out of storage. The 4000 mAhbattery will survive 8 hours of talk time which means that the tablet will survive a day of heavy usage but you’ll have to charge it overnight. In means of connectivity, the tablet only covers the basics so you will have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and radio. One of the things that make this laptop special is the fact that it supports GSM calls so you can use it as a tablet or a phone to make calls and send SMSs. For more tablets that you can use as phones, read this article.

Display

The tablet has a 7-inch TFT screen with 800x1280 resolution and 215 pixels per inch density which means that it’s a big screen that you’ll feel comfortable using. However since it comes with a low resolution and pixel density you will notice that the colors aren’t vivid and that the details are a bit blurry so you’ll need to zoom in when you’re reading a document for instance to really see everything.

Camera

Since tablets aren’t really photography oriented cameras, the 5MP back camera and 2MP front camera of the P9 make it a solid choice when it comes to taking pictures, making video calls or shooting HD videos.

Bottom line

The tablet covers all the basics nicely and it comes for an affordable price. So if you’re looking for an Android tablet that you can use to make phone calls and video calls easily, this is a good option. But ask around about other Tecno products first since it’s still new to the market.

TECNO P5 SPECS PLUS HOW TO FLASH STOCK ROM FREE

Tecno P5 review
tecno p5 in article 1
The Tecno P5 is another low-end basic smartphone that has been recently released in Egypt for 625 EGP. Know exactly what you would get for this too-good-to-be-true price.

Design

This is a relatively small phone with Tecno’s usual plastic design. It is 124.3 mm tall, 65.5 mm wide and 10.5 mm thick which means that this is a phone you can easy hold and use single handedly and it would fit comfortably in your pocket as well.

Performance

The P5 has a 1.3 GHz Dual core processor and 512 MB RAM which will make the phone a bit heavy especially if you tried using more than one app at once. It also runs Android JellyBean 4.2 which is not the latest version of Android but it does come with a sufficient amount of interactive apps and features. The 4GB internal memory won’t take up many apps or games so you’ll probably need to buy an external microSD card that can give you additional 32GB of storage. 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and radio are all on the phone. Also, it’s dual SIM which means that you can have two numbers with you at all times but you can only use one at the time while the other one will be on standby. The 1800 mAh battery will have a decent battery life which means you won’t have to charge it more than once a day.

Display

The phone has a 4-inch TFT screen with 480x800 resolution which leaves 266 pixels per inch. This means that this is a medium sized screen, that could feel a bit small when you’re watching a video, with average quality. The colors are expected to be bright but you might notice that they’re not very sharp and that you might need to zoom in to comfortably read using the phone.

Camera

The 5MP back camera easily covers the basics and takes decent average quality pictures. The 2 MP front camera is all you’ll need for making video calls and taking photos.

Bottom line

This is a convenient option if you want a small cheap phone that only covers the basics; the interactive OS, the 5MP camera and the fact that it’s dual SIM. If you can get used to the lagging and the limited internal memory, then keep it mind.
Pros: Dual SIM, cheap, 5MP camera and runs Android Jelly Bean.
Cons: Slow performance and limited internal memory.

TECNO CAMON C8 REVIEW PLUS HOW TO FLASH STOCK ROM FREE

Tecno Camon C8

Tecno Camon C8
There is nothing that sets the blood rushing faster than going out shopping and striking a pocket- friendly deal for a pleasant product. Tecno Camon C8 targets such shoppers with an alluring proposition priced at just about Ksh. 13, 000.
The Camon C8 is a phablet with a screen size of 5.5 inches. This IPS touchscreen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels thereby delivering a good, high definition quality. The highlight here (considering the price) is the use of a metallic frame and glass for the display which gives it a sense of durability.
Tecno Camon C8 has dual- SIM slots so you can carry around two SIMs in your phone instead of having two phones in the pocket. I must admit that the concept of a dual-SIM smartphone grows on you over time as you appreciate the convenience of it. Especially when you have two categories of people for each line, say a category for business contacts and another for family, friends and distant acquaintances.
The dimensions used for the body are typical of phablets. It is a large device with a substantial thickness. You will definitely get a great entertainment experience given the size of the display, but the phablet has a bulkiness to it that will make your pocket to bulge, and we are not even thinking tight jeans!
Perhaps the highlight of this product is its photography credentials which can quickly make you forget that this is primarily a phone and not a compact camera. The back camera is the most impressive shooter with a lens of 13 megapixels which promises great stills and high definition movies. This coupled by dual LED flash and autofocus make it a highly desirable companion when you want to capture treasurable moments such as parties, anniversaries or random subjects of interest. However, not intending to throw a wet blanket here, there is so much you can demand from a budget smartphone. But even before jumping into any conclusions about the possibilities, perhaps there is much to be gained given that the 5 megapixels secondary camera comes with its own LED flash making it an instant pick for a selfie- taker.
Tecno Camon C8 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop that is now very popular with third party app developers. The open nature of the android platform means you get a wide variety of apps to choose from on Google Play store.
Among the hardware concealed beneath the outer interface of the phone is a Mediatek processor that has four cores with clocking speeds of up to 1.3 GHz. Tecno has included a RAM chip of 1GB in size which should give just enough computing memory for installing and running a large variety of software. Internal storage although standard at 16GB can be increased by tapping into the micro SD card slot. You can still subscribe to cloud storage on this 3G device.
Having a large body makes it easier for engineers to equip smartphones with capacious batteries, and in this case, a 3, 000 mAh non- removable Li-Ion battery has been included.

TECNO CAMON C5 REVIEW PLUS HOW TO FLASH STOCK ROM FREE

Tecno-Camon-C5-Best-Price-in-Kenya
The TECNO Camon C5 is one of the most popular smartphones in Kenya right now (August 2015).
It is common for buyers to be super excited about TECNO Mobile’s new offerings since the vendor holds a significant chunk of the Kenyan budget smartphone market.
The Camon C5 leaked a couple of weeksbefore it launched and this inflated our expectations about the smartphone. Unfortunately, some of that leaked info about the specifications of the smartphone was rather inaccurate.
The TECNO Camon C5 is, however, here and this is what the smartphone has to offer.
Technical Specifications
Display
Display Size: 5.0 inches
Display Type: IPS LCD capacitive
Screen Resolution: 720 x 1280 pixels
Screen Resolution Density: 294 ppi
Screen Protection: None
The TECNO Camon C5 features a 5-inch 720p HD LCD display. There is nothing fancy about this since the display profile is exactly what you get on its older sibling, the Boom J7.
A 1080p Full HD display would have been awesome, but I guess that was not an option since the Camon C5 is a budget smartphone.
Design
Frame Dimensions: 137.5 x 69.3x 8.6 mm
Color: Midnight Black, Dark Blue, Amber Gold, Oyster White

The TECNO Camon C5 features a generic candy bar design and nothing in particular makes the smartphone to stand out from the crowd.
I say this from the perspective of the Boom J7, which is by all standards a gorgeous smartphone. What could maybe raise your attention is the LED Flash that is strategically placed besides the front facing camera.
The idea of a front-facing LED flash is still rather new but the concept has been catching up and recently made a debut on a Samsung smartphone through the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, two awesome smartphones that are now available in Kenya.
Performance
Operating System: Android 5.0 Lollipop
CPU: 1.3GHz Quad-core
RAM: 1 GB
Internal Memory: 8 GB
Micro SD: Yes, up to 128 GB
The TECNO Camon C5 boasts of a 1.3GHz Quad-core CPU and 1 GB RAM. This is again exactly what you find on the Boom J7.
What is, however, the distinguishing feature of the Camon C5 is that it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The TECNO Camon C5 is the first smartphone to run the latest available version of the Android Operating system and this is kind of a big deal.
Also, the smartphone is 4G enabled, meaning that it can access the super-fast 4G connectivity . The TECNO Camon C5 is now among the cheapest 4G smartphones
Apart from that you get some 8 GB for your files, as well as a Micro SD slot that can take in up to 128 GB of Micro SD memory.
Camera
Rear Camera: 8 MP
Secondary Camera: 2 MP
LED Flash: Yes (Front and Back)
The camera TECNO Camon C5 camera profile is the highlight feature of the device. Personally, I thought it was all about the 4G connectivity, but a source inside TECNO Kenya emailed me and even forwarded some of the images captured by the device.
The TECNO Camon C5 features an 8 MP Rear Snapper and a 2 MP front facing selfies. Both the two cameras come with an LED flash, a first from TECNO.
It was at first hard to understand how at this age, you could market an 8MP smartphone as a camera phone. However, once i delved into the details (you should too) and learned more about its camera hardware that I realized that TECNO has the creds to justify the sophistication of the Camon C5 camera.
Check out a couple of TECNO Camon C5 sample images.
Battery and Extras
Battery Capacity: Li-Ion 2500mAh
The TECNO Camon C5 is a 4G Smartphone and this means that it should have a powerful battery with a stamina to keep the lights on for long.
Its Li-Ion 2500mAh battery doesn’t disappoint.
Extras
4G Connectivity
Verdict
TECNO probably used some of the residual components of the Boom J7 on the Camon C5. The Camon C5 is basically the Boom J7 with a few but very important refinements here and there.
The refinements include that the Camon C5 run Android 5.0 Lollipop, has a refined camera and is 4G ready. The 4G part to me is the most attractive part of the entire package.
I am of the opinion that those who care very much about high quality digital photography are less likely to rely on a TECNO smartphone to provide that.

Why you should buy the TECNO Camon C5
