Expectably, to make up for the price, one will have to make do with operational specs that are not on the high end. The specs notwithstanding, a user is sure of value for his or her money as the phone is, on the whole, configured to work smoothly and without hassles.

Design
The hallmark of the Tecno M6 is its sleekness and smartness. In length and breadth it is only 139.65 x 69.5 mm and it is only 7.99mm in thickness. This makes the phone much slimmer than many phones in its class.
The phone is well built to be quite solid in spite of its thinness and the finish of its polycarbonate casing is such that is good for the grip. Its weight is 152g.
Tecno M6 comes in white, black and silver.
Display
The Tecno M6 sports a sizeable screen that puts it in the phablet class. The display employs a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (196 ppi) and 16 million colours.
OS, Processor and Memory
Operating System for the Tecno M6 is Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). With the KitKat, users of the phone have access to numerous favorite and latest apps.
The CPU is quad core Cortex-A7 CPU, MediaTek MT6582 with a speed of 1.3 GHz while the GPU is Mali 400MP2. RAM is 1 GB which is adequate for the phone configuration.
Internal storage is 8 GB and there is provision for microSD of up to 32 GB to afford more space for files.
Camera
The Tecno M6 is equipped with two cameras. The main camera at the rear is 8 MP with up to 2448 x 3264 p picture resolution and is capable of doing 1080 @ 30 fps video.
The front camera is 2 MP with up to 1600 x 1200 p picture resolution. Camera features include LED flash, autofocus, Geo-tagging and panorama.
Battery
Power for the Tecno M6 is provided by a medium capacity 2020 mAh Li-Ion non removable battery. Battery talktime is 8 hours while standby time is 250 hours.
